Avocado Mango Chocolate Pudding
Don’t give me that look!
Believe me: you can turn avocado into a fabulously decadent desert!
But I’ll forgive your doubt, I was skeptical as well when I first discovered this recipe. But I knew I had to try it – immediately! Some recipes are on my to-do list for years before I test them. This one made me so curious I had to try it instantly.
I was amazed by the result: super rich, creamy, thick, chocolaty. And it is incredibly quick to make….and healthy…. What more can you ask for!
Try it and be wowed!

Ingredients
(Found on the blog ‘Simply Dish’)
2 servings (or 1 very generous serving)
1 ripe avocado
1 ripe mango
2 tbsp dark chocolate powder
1 tbsp maple syrup
a few drops vanilla essence
a small pinch of salt
Â
Recipe
- Peel the avocado and mango and cube.
- Place all the ingredients into a food processor and whizz until very very smooth.
- Preferably chill for a few hours in the fridge. Bring to room temperature for 30 minutes. (Or skip this step and dive straight in there.)
Tips & Variations
- Replace the mango with a ripe banana
- Omit the mango and only use avocado
Lol. I admit I gave you that look…but I’m still trying this 🙂 It sounds yummy.
Your forgiven – just this once 😉 I am curious how you find it!
We made a similar chocolate avo pudding and it was delish! Mango would have been a great addition!
Yes, the mango just gives it that extra hint of fragrant sweetness.
oooh I just need to get an avocado and I can try this! looks impressive! 🙂
Oh you really should try it – I should warn you though, the hardest thing about the whole recipe was waiting for the avocado to ripen 🙂
I can imagine! They’re tricky little things when it comes to ripening sometimes… frustrating! 😉
I was just looking for a recipe that uses avocados in a different way. You read my mind! So trying this!!!
I made a similar recipe like this twice & loved it too! I must make this soon! Yummm!
It really is amazing stuff! Enjoy!
Avocado and chocolate are ALWAYS welcome (and often eaten) at my house.
Thank you for the comment, popping over to your blog right now to see what other fabulous things get eaten at your house.
Add me to the list of never tried, but definitely want to try some day soon! As for mango I’ve never tried it with chocolate either. Amazing that this is a Vegan treat, that’s not too calorific and most folks might have these ingredients in their pantry too!
I love discovering dishes that are not only delicious but actually good for you! This is definately is one of my favourite healthy deserts.
I did give you that look…oh yes I did, but since it’s so simple to make, I shall ask my 14 year old daughter to give it a go and I will definitely give you a feedback. Thanks for sharing. I love instant recipes111
Haha, I can understand the doubt, but trust me, this stuff is fabulous! Curious to hear how it turns out and whether you like it.
I heard about making desserts from avocado’s.It seems weird, but I think I may have to give it a go!!
I have to admit I made this pudding because it was so weird – I really did not believe in it very much. So I was really suprised to discover it tastes quite lovely! If you try it let me know what you tought of it.
huh- I would never have thought to use avocado this way but it sounds delicious!
I know it is crazy, isn’t it! But amazingly it works really well!
